A demonstration video showing how the fire spread so quickly from house to house!
Acting out a water chain to show how water was collected from the rive Thames and started to help slow the fire.
Children then tried to work out which statements about the Great Fire of London were true or false.

2C planning their own version of the Julia Donaldson story 'Room on the Broom'. Children were asked to change animal characters and dragon if they wished but to keep the witch (or wizard) in the story. We discussed how to plan their storyboard for their new story including adjectives (describing words), alliteration (wicked, wretched, workshy witch) , similes (flew as fast as a jet) and The Power of Three e.g. including three bits of description always e.g. the old, sad, hungry man.
