Creativity and practicing in class 2A

Class 2A have worked hard in English over the past couple of weeks writing and solving riddles. Today we have looked at a variety of fruits and vegetables and used them as a stimulus for our writing. They have used their senses to describe the fruits and vegetables and thought about how they grow and how they are used. Some children did some extra research on the iPads. Later in the week they will be using this information to write a riddle, take a look at some of the work they've done so far...

Our whole school focus for good work assembly is the high performance skill of practicing. In class 2A today we have been using out knowledge of multiplication and practicing our division skills. Who will be the star of the week this week?

Year 2(beginner) learnt clothes in Mandarin

Year 2 (beginner) learnt the vocabulary of clothes in Mandarin, including 汗衫，衬衫，短裤，裤子，牛仔裤，毛衣，外套，背心，大衣，帽子，袜子，裙子, etc. The pupils work very well in their speaking practice and they also learnt a song about clothes in Mandarin with the help of clothes pictures. Well done, year 2!

“穿上衣服，穿上裤子，穿上袜子和鞋子，

戴上帽子，戴上围巾，

戴上手套，拿上包。”🎵

Pupils work hard to find out the chothes mentioned in the song.

2B Weather Forecasts

The children enjoyed using their imagination today to create an island and present the weather forecast for it in groups. They each created some excellent weather symbols and presented the weather forecast in a clear and detailed way.
