2C Measures, Reading Scales and Ocean Habitat iPad Research!

2C have been looking at measurement in Maths this week! Initially looking at the idea of standard units and how these relate to measuring length, weight and capacity.

2C trying to read scales! Children had to be careful to work out the intervals on the different scales to ensure their answers were correct.

Learning how to use a ruler to measure length correctly! Children are being introduced to millimetres (mm), centimetres (cm) and metres (m) and how to accurately use a ruler or measure tape to measure and record length.

As part of their science lessons, children have been learning about ocean habitats. Using iPads, children used websites to gather as much information as possible about oceans and their habitats for an ocean habitat fact poster!
