Writing stories

Class 2E have been working together to write their own traditional tales. They used dice to generate some initial ideas and then worked in small groups and pairs to tell the stories orally. They then made story maps of where they think their stories and their characters will go. 

Here are some photos of the children writing the openings to their stories using the class set of iPads. This will be a long job - to write the whole story - but I am sure that they will be very proud of it when they have finished. 

One thing is for certain, though - they love writing on the iPad!
