The children have really enjoyed revising how to add 2 and 3-digit
numbers to other 2 and 3-digit numbers, concentrating on adding in hundreds,
tens and units. They all did extremely well with this! We also began to look at
trickier numbers that bridge through 10, breaking down the addition into simple
steps. In English the children started to develop their ideas for Animal
Rhyming poems by testing out various words and deciding if these did in fact
rhyme. I am looking forward to reading their final poems later in the week. We
finished the day creating self-portraits, exploring proportion and shape. Some
of the children really excelled at this and we hope that you will be able to
enjoy all of them when they are added to the Year 2 displays.
