This week in year 2 we have been researching sea creatures and their habitats and then used some of this information to create, amongst other things, a passport for a sea creature. The passports included pictures, written descriptions and special features. We have added a creative element where children have been asked to
create their own creatures and a habitat for them, we have had fantastic ideas showing that the children have really thought about what makes an animal suitable for its habitat.
As part of our work in history this week we learned about the explorer Ernest Shackleton and his expedition to the Antarctic, the children were fascinated by the story of how they tried to free their ship from the ice.
