2C have started to look at stories by Julia Donaldson as part of our English unit reading different stories by the same author. Children started by looking at the first story 'Room on the Broom' by reading part of the story and making predictions about a possible story ending before reading the true ending. Children then made a storyboard by sequencing pictures from the story and writing down main events linked to each picture using time connectives such as first, then, next, after and finally. Children will later read other texts by Julia Donaldson and practise comparing them.
