Class 2A - Visiting the library for the first time

Last week we took our first visit to the library. Mrs Richardson the new Librarian shared her favourite story with the children and then they had the chance to explore the library and read some books. The children loved this and it was so lovely to see them reading to themselves or sharing stories with their friends. Here are some of the snaps I took of them...

Claudia and Sophia found books named after them!

Harold and I read a story together.

Natalie, Sunny and Stephanie all chose their own books and shred them on the carpet together.

The children listen carefully as Mrs Richardson shares her favourite book.

A quick reminder that on the Thursday 30th April we are holding our very own NAIS Book Day - Joy Story. The children are invited to dress as their favourite book character and we will have lots of other fun activities taking place. The children have been asked to enter an 'Extreme Reading' competition - take photos of your child reading in a peculiar place e.g. on the MTR, on a hike or on the beach etc, then send your photos in to me.
