2B Symmetry in action!

The class have been busy today learning about symmetry in Maths. They created shape patterns and symmetrical pictures, also using the Smartboard and their whiteboards to test their peers. I was really pleased by how quickly they learnt this new concept...you might like to try testing them at home and asking what a 'line of symmetry' is used for. In English today the class created traditional tale posters focusing on story language, passages from the text, characters and setting. These posters will be used to aid their speaking and listening skills as they present them to the class. I have also included some photos of the children hard at work during last Friday's English lesson when they developed their typing and formatting skills by using the iPads to record their 'Three Billy Goat Gruff' stories. We ended the day with a Geograohy lesson learning and revising Geographical terms such as physical feature, human feature, mountain/hill, summit, peak, cliff, valley, slope and forest.
