In class 2A we have started reading a class story. We have chosen The Twits by Roald Dahl. The children are really enjoying the story and are showing excellent listening skills. The children have shown a good understanding of the text and they find the story humorous and engaging. Ask the children about the story, what has happened so far? Who are the different characters? Have they enjoyed reading it and what has been their favourite part has been so far?
Here is one of our phonics groups hard at work. The children have been focusing on reading and writing different sounds and using these to blend and segment words. We have been really impressed with the children's hard work in phonics sessions so far and look forward to seeing the progress the children make.
