3D shapes,Three Billy Goats Gruff and Science Materials in 2C!

This week we have been looking at the Traditional Tale of 'Three Billy Goats Gruff'. The children enjoyed the story and tried to review the main points of the story as well as the setting and characters. It was a fun way to develop their ability to recall the main information about a text they have read.

2C have also been learning the names and properties of 3D shapes e.g. how many faces, edges and corners they possess. Using 3D shape models, they enjoyed working out the answers and learning about their relation to 2D shapes. Ilaria and Sasha even showed some 2D shapes during snack time!

In Science, children have been looking at how materials such as metal, sponge, rubber, wood, plastic, fabric and string can be changed by twisting, bending, pulling and squashing. They had great fun learning how materials' shapes can change!
