How 2D turned junk into castles using iPads.

LHot on the heels of our work on instructions last week this week we constructed castles using boxes, plastic bottles, tape and glue. We didn't completely finish and more pictures of the finished products will follow next week. The main focus of the weeks work was writing instructions and trying to include many of the features we learned about last week.
The children used iPads to photograph their castles and then import the photographs into their instructional texts to make the instructions clearer. There was a lot of mess, as the pictures show but there was a hum of hard work to be heard all around the room as children planned, made and then wrote instructions for their castles. They enjoyed using the iPads and we're creative with the presentation of their work. Mrs Das and Mr Dixon are convinced there are a few budding engineers and architects in 2D.
